THE WINNERS OF THE 2025 HARMONY PEACE PRIZE

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Harmony Peace Prize, an initiative dedicated to visualizing the Palace of Harmony, the inspiring theme for this year’s competition. The Palace of Harmony is envisioned not as a distant utopia, but as a living reality achieved through conscious choice and collective action.

This year’s winning submissions, diverse in medium and metaphor, align beautifully with the wisdom of the ancient Chinese philosophical concept found in the Book of Changes (I Ching) Hexagram 11, known as “Harmony”. This profound symbol depicts Heaven below the Earth, signifying the auspicious flow of creative energy and perfect harmony between all things. Our winning artists from United Arab Emirates, Japan and Peru have provided the three essential cosmic and earthly components for achieving this “Palace of Harmony”: Heaven, Earth, and Ocean.

The Continuous Flow of Harmony

Together, the winning pieces illustrate the universal principle of Harmony:

  • Heaven (The Creator’s Realm) provides spiritual energy and perfect balance.
  • Earth (OPE OPE) absorbs the struggle and uses resilience to unite diverse pieces.
  • Ocean (Blue Beyond Ocean) is the current of life where humanity makes the conscious choice to flow with purpose toward a shared light.

The 2025 Harmony Peace Prize celebrates the truth that harmony is a continuous flow between the cosmos, the planet, and the human heart. We congratulate all our 2025 winners for showing us that the Palace of Harmony is the living reality we build, together, every day.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the talented participants who submitted their visionary works. Their contributions further encourage our mission to expand the knowledge of this vital concept and paving the way for our 2026 Harmony Peace Prize theme: “Harmony, The Cure of Conflict.”

We encourage artists worldwide to submit their works before November 15th, 2026.

First Prize: Blue Beyond Ocean (The Ocean / Humanity)

The highest honour goes to “Blue Beyond Ocean” by Abbas Saberi (UAE). This piece established the crucial starting point for harmony: the conscious choice to move together. The image of fish of utterly different colors and sizes coexisting in a “single, soft, shared current” represents humanity’s foundational diversity. Their act of detaching from the “cold, hard metallic surface” (stagnation and isolation) and rising in a “gentle, guided rhythm” toward the “shining sphere” is a powerful call to action. It affirms that the Palace of Harmony is already here, pulsing in the heart of our shared life—we only need to choose to flow.

1ST WINNER, US$3,000

Abbas Saberi, UAE

EN: Blue Beyond Ocean

In the deep blue, fish of utterly different colours, shapes, and sizes coexist:radiant gold, calm silver, pure white. Though no one resembles the other, all swim together in a single, soft, shared current.

Then, one by one, they detach themselves from the cold, hard metallic surface that represents stagnation and individual isolation. They spread their metallic fins and rise upward, not through competition or force, but in a gentle, guided rhythm, as if Harmony itself is drawing them toward the light.

This is the Palace of Harmony, a space we do not need to construct somewhere distant. It is already here, pulsing in the very heart of this blue ocean of life in which we all breathe. We only need to choose to move, like these fish, embracing our differences while flowing in the same direction, toward the same shared destination.

The tiny, scattered crystals break and diffuse the light through the blue depths, illuminating the scene. Similarly, selfless human beings illuminate the way even in the darkest places, proving that the true path is right here before us.

The shining sphere at the apex of the structure represents the common light we can all reach—a shared vision of peace. We only need to make the conscious choice to detach ourselves from the rigid surface and begin to move.

Second Prize: OPE OPE (The Earth / Resilience)

The second prize winner, “OPE OPE” by Yusuke Y. Offhause (Japan), grounds the concept of harmony in the material world and the history of human struggle—the Earth itself. Representing our planet facing crises, the work uses the traditional Japanese Kintsugi technique. The artist’s act of breaking and meticulously repairing the blue body with gold-dusted lacquer is a profound metaphor for resilience and redemption. This is not about hiding past wounds but celebrating them. By filling voids with diverse fragments of pottery, glass, and tin, the piece shows that a “strong community” is formed through union that respects and preserves individual identities, creating collective greatness from diverse, even damaged, parts.

2ND WINNER, US$2,000

Yusuké Yamamoto Offhause, Japan

EN: OPE OPE

The blue body of this piece represents planet Earth, which today faces enduring environmental crises and widespread human turmoil. Solutions are constantly discussed, and efforts are underway, making the artist’s act of breaking and then repairing the piece a profound metaphor for the resilience and ongoing redemption of human history.

The main form of the artwork is meticulously joined using the traditional Kintsugi technique (the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold). Missing voids are filled with recycled fragments of pottery, porcelain, tin, and glass.

This entire process encapsulates the philosophy of The Palace of Harmony: a planetary space where people from diverse cultures gather to share and celebrate their differences. It is a place where diversity is deeply respected, allowing a strong community to form through union—preserving individual identities to create greatness collectively.

Third Prize: Heaven, The Creator’s Realm (The Heaven / Source)

The third prize winner, “Heaven, The Creator’s Realm,” by Ruth Gloria Tapia Yupanqui (Peru), completes the philosophical triangle by addressing the cosmic source of harmony—the Heavenly Realm. The painting visualizes the Creator’s power as a radiant triangle that unites the cold stillness of “ice-white water” (potential and waiting spirits) with the energy of the “firing yellow sun” (emergence into life). This work reminds us that human life is born from a perfect, deliberate balance of opposing forces. It establishes that harmony is not merely a social construct, but an inherent, primal principle of the universe, providing the spiritual and energetic foundation for our existence.

3RD WINNER, US$1,000

Ruth Gloria Tapia Yupanqui, Peru

EN:Heaven, The Creator’s Realm

The painting visualizes the dwelling of our Creator within the vast, dark infinite universe, the very source of human birth.

Above, representing the power of the Creator as a radiant triangle partially concealed by dense clouds. This triangle unites two opposite forces:

  • The ice-white water, flashing with the cold stillness that holds countless spirits waiting to be born.
  • The firing yellow sun, contrasting the cold with the energy needed for the spirit’s emergence into human life.
